Bill,

 

Most likely you will need to roll-your-own with toroids, transformers, and
inductiors except for very generic sybols. It is easy to do. Just make sure
to save any schematic symbols and pcb pad layouts to your own custom
library. That way you won't loose them when updating the software.

Hi -

I am just getting started with Kicad (first attempt with ANY schematic 
software!) and I need to use bifilar and trifilar wound toroids in my 
schematic. I have been unable to find either in the component libraries 
that come with Kicad, or in any of the libraries I have so far found 
on-line. Am I missing something, and they are out there somewhere right 
in front of me, or do I need to make my own? Someone somewhere must 
have those two components in a library...
