Did you install after building? Otherwise, it might be, that a version of the
kbanking plugin destined for a prior version of KMyMoney is loaded and used.

I did not build the package. After upgrading to Ubuntu 14.10 the distro
supplied kmymoney consistently crashed on start up. I then tried a workaround
by installing a newer version (4.7.1) from the ppa:claydoh/kmymon

Do you use the KBanking plugin? if you don't use it you might try to disable
it. Anyway it's seems like an upstream (aqbanking) or downstream (packaging)
issue.
