as a temporary work around.
I've changed the "no longer used" categories to start with ZZ_.
This way, the ones I do still use will be at the top of the list.

I'm not sure that marking a category so it can no longer be used is quite the
same as closing an account. Closed accounts (depending on the state of "Show
all accounts" do not show up on any dropdown or list. I believe a
