**How important is Manhattan WMoS software skills/knowledge experience? Can
we substitute Manhattan for Red Prairie? We’ve had some initial challenges
around identifying candidates with this. **With reference to our request
#128 Manhattan WMoS software skills/knowledge experience is very important.
 It may be possible to substitute RDM experience, if it includes direct to
consumer eComm business experience, but it would be based on the candidate's
other experiences/skills too.  ** *

*How important is this for the position?  If a candidate has the WMoS and
all of the other requested skills, would the lack of CICS & TSO prevent them
from getting the position?  **If the candidate had WMoS experience, we can
train on CICS &/or TSO, however experience with either or both is preferred.

experience.

Position Summary:
Understands and resolves business and technical issues and performs logical
system and data modeling.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Identifies problems at the program or system level and recommends
solutions.
• Identifies the impact of proposed changes at a system level and on
interfacing systems.
• Translates business partner requirements into functional process and data
specifications; uses appropriate modeling and documentation techniques;
translates functional specifications into detailed system design
specifications.
• Develops and reviews detailed program specifications from system design
specifications or business requirements.
• Analyzes and develops logical resolutions for business issues from a
technical and business perspective.
• Reviews system changes and test results; assists in transition of the
logical models into physical models.
• Creates and reviews system and integration test plans; coordinates testing
process, including task assignments, validation of results, and resolution
of problems.
• Works with business partners to develop and implement acceptance test
plans; coordinates the acceptance test process, including task assignment,
validation of results, and resolution of problems.
• Understands, designs, and analyzes code structure.
• Assists in the lead with the development of the project plan; assists in
assignment of resources to tasks.
• Works with business partners, team members, and Information Services staff
to the smooth development and installation of assigned projects.
• Communicates the impact on other systems of proposed new systems or system
modifications.
• Makes oral presentations to business partners and IS staff; prepares
written communication to document project notes, issues, and requirements.
• Provides feedback to team members and to project lead regarding individual
performance of team members.
• Works with outside vendors to ensure smooth development and installation
of purchased software.
• Multiple years of programming experience that includes performing
analytical tasks.
• Displays initiative and self-motivation.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills*
