Job title: - SQL Server/Oracle DBA Location: - Buffalo, NY Duration: - 4 months Job Description: We have a client seeking a database administrator experienced with MS SQL Server 2005/2008 and Oracle 9i/10g. Deep SQL experience is key here. The client's staff is new to SQL Server and they are seeking a knowledgeable DBA to provide knowledge transfer to their DBA staff regarding best practices for SQLServer 2008 for maintenance, performance tuning, data compression and backup and recovery. Upgrade experience from SQL Server 2005 to SQL Server 2008 with performance tuning for SAP BW 7.0 would be a plus.
