------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Position: Perl Developer Location(State/city):Connecticut CT/STAMFORD Duration: 2+ months Required Details: Skills: Perl, Java and or C# .NET 2.0 Description: Joining a team of developers, responsibilities will include building a broad range of client server applications which will support multiple areas of Operations. Responsibilities: Design and implementation of multi-tiered applications and reporting that are used by Operations globally. Enhance and support an existing proprietary system which manages the books and records of the firm. Develop and maintain trade processing and other workflow related applications Develop trade, position and reconciliation automation through working with internal business users and external utilities to resolve workflow related issues Assist in managing the entire software lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment and documentation. Work closely with business users and other IT staffs to test and roll out new and enhanced applications. Support and maintain existing systems and work on special projects as needed. Minimum Requirements: 2 to 5 years of development experience in Perl, Java and/or C# and .NET 2.0 Proficiency in UNIX, Sybase SQL, C++ as well as any experience developing middle office applications, or fixed income product knowledge is a plus. Knowledge of SWIFT also a plus. Opportunities to work closely with business users and other IT staffs require strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a group.
