MUST have: Netapp NCDA certification and VMWare VCP Certification Location: Houston, TX Position: Sr. Level Resident Onsite NetApp Engineer Initial Term: 2-years Description: The Resident Onsite NetApp Engineer working with Customer will provide project management and project execution work as required by the Customer and may include filer installations, hardware upgrades and additions, Data ONTAP and firmware upgrades and recommendations, construction of aggregates, volumes, LUNS, and SnapShot schedules based on best practices and customer preferences, Operations Manager (OM) installation and upgrades, filer monitoring using Operations Manager, onsite diagnostics and replacement of hardware components, Tech Support Center coordination, test planning and execution, participation in regularly scheduled reviews with Customer, documentation of NetApp storage environment, development of best practices for storage management, creation of runbook for managing the customer’s storage environment. This is a highly virtualized server and storage environment, utilizing VMware and NetApp storage optimization technologies. Rates MUST include properly equipped laptop (required software and aircard with related service), smartphone with related services capable of sending/receiving e-mail; and, if the candidate resides outside of the engagement area, any living expenses necessary. Location: Jacksonville, FL. This resourse will be responsible for environment coordination and readiness for test and stage environments. This resourse will be working with the developers and develoipment leads to ensure that the manifest files are updated for each scope item and work with the appropriate Service delivery teams to ensure that the work is done. Will also need to have the ability to check that all infrastucute is inplace and all the test environment connectivity is comepleted.
