I am new to using KOHA and am trying to configure a z39.50 connection for
British Library records as my library is using DDC and has many books from the
UK.
I contacted the BL and was told I need a special z39.50 client to import
records as well as an account and that a web browser won't work.
Hi Ariel,
I have the below configuration, hope it help.
Go toHome › Administration › Z39.50 servers
Then add the following:
Hostname: z3950cat.bl.uk
Port: 9909
Database: BNB03U

Dear all,
We are using 14-digit barcodes on our items, and we like to display them in
our OPAC. Consider that they all start with 3009400, I'm wondering
whether it is possible to only display the last 7-digits, so we can free up
the screen space for other information?
Your help is much
I'm not sure that this would be my first choice, but if you have no other
option, you could do it in JavaScript in opacuserjs.

I'd suggest that you delete your /etc/koha directory as it seems to be a
reminder of a defective install. It seems you have some cruft from a not
completely created instance.

Hello again,
sorry to keep bugging this list. I upgraded to v. 3.18.06 a few days ago
and was directed to edit koha-conf.xml and zebra-biblios.cfg file. As far
as I can tell, I did that correctly and no longer see warnings about that
in koha clientabout kohaserver information. However, I was

Hi Chisty,
have you checked the error logs?
Perhaps there is a missing or misplaced css file that is not loaded.

Dear Nicole,
I recently used the patron import to update over 2,000 patron records (in
batches). It worked very well. All files contained borrowernumbers and
imported successfully. I noticed the following fields were missing in the
list for the CSV headers in the patron import documentation:

Thanks everyone,
I figured it out.
What happened is that after switching to the DOM indexing, I somehow messed
up the permissions on my configuration files. I was suspicious of this
because in the index rebuild, I kept seeing something like this:
