[Koha] Publication date (yyyy-yyyy) advanced search option not working in my Koha instance

Hi all, We recently upgraded to 20.05.08 from 19.11, and we've found that the advanced search option in the staff interface for publication date by year range isn't producing any results for us if we use it. Specifying it with y,st-year in the keyword search instead *does* produce results

Hi Caroline Unfortunately it doesn't help just adding MARC 000, or adding MARC 000 and setting a default value of " nam a22 7a 4500". Still special characters are mutilated. I have now tested this with Koha 18.11.03, 19.11.05 and 20.11.00. I have commented the bug report
