Koha, is the field used for the item records. Koha uses 952 many other
systems use 942 or 852. If you want items to appear on the records you
need to move the item info to 952. The 952 field has to have the correct

Hi Charles,
You can modify the shelving location using the 'Batch item modification'
tool, I think this is found in the 'Cataloging' module on the 23.05
version. You will need to add the name of the shelving location you want
to use in the Authorized Values for LOC first so you can select it in

Hi Ramona,
It depends on what you mean by 'material type'. The leader and 006/007/008
control the small material type icon. The 942$c controls the item type
icon that displays on search results. The 952$y displays the icon in the
item record. If you want to follow RDA and fill in the 33x

Did you edit the 952 MARC field in the Frameworks? This is connected to

Hi everyone,
I have about 5000 records with no space between the classification number
and author letters. Here are a few examples:
491.431SA
431PA
260RE
I would like to add a space so that they become:
491.431 SA
431 PA
260 RE
Is there a way to add the space in the call number using the Koha

HI Caroline,
I have two different situations that are related.
Magazines: I didn't care which magazine went home with a student just that
a magazine went home with them. I bought large clear envelopes that held
the magazine that students wanted. The envelope had the barcode on it and

Hi Everyone,
I may have to miss the meeting tomorrow. I have a funeral to go to in the

Hi Anke,
Try this site:

under *Moving Subfield Data:*
I just tried it on some of our records in the MarcEdit 7.5 and it worked.
