I think I was able to experience this. Did you import your previous mysql
database into 3.8? try dropping the koha 3.8 database then import the
previous mysql database into koha 3.8 database then go to koha admin
(192.xxx.x.xxx:8080 in my case) and you will be presented with koha
installer just cli
l giving "availability: no items available"

what i did with a problem like this (no available item, but indeed there
were) was dropped the koha database (either the original database or
previously imported database), import my koha database into the present koha
installation. Point to your koha admin in the web browser, and koha
webinstaller
I am having the very same exact problem. Did you find a solution to it?

I am using koha ver 3.09.00.017. Just imported the data into catalogue and
index the same with nozebra
I am getting the search of all records in OPAC but Koha is showing
Availability : No Items available
and for every records showing 7 holdings.
