[Koha] Question about changing the material type in a Koha record

I haven't been cataloging very long, and so I am still learning. Can someone please tell me how to change the material type in a Koha record? In our basic records, I cannot access the 336, 337 and 338 tags. Can you still change the material type without those tags ? *Ramona Ratliff * Information

Hi Ramona, It depends on what you mean by 'material type'. The leader and 006/007/008 control the small material type icon. The 942$c controls the item type icon that displays on search results. The 952$y displays the icon in the item record. If you want to follow RDA and fill in the 33x field
