I have heard of this before, although I'm curious why it's using 100% CPU
instead of just failing to find the duplicates.
Sounds a bit like we're fixing the symptom rather than the problem.

I was just looking at Hook::LexWrap, and it looks like it hasn't been updated
since 2017 and the two most recent updates before that were in 2014 and 2010. I
