It seems to be linked to the dateformat preferences. That bug does not appear
when using the iso format (-mm-dd). Other format will still glitch but
change the 'wrong' date (for instance, dd/mm/yyy

Noting that I also just tested to see if I could recreate this issue with
system preference NewsToolEditor set to "a text editor (CodeMirror)" instead of
WYSIWYG. Koha still retained the set dates
