A low pressure area near the lower front canopy is often caused by the air
flowing over and around the upper part. Is it possible the vent lies in this
critical area and prop wash is causing the drop in pressure. Mark Langford

With a foreword facing vent you have a ram air effect which pressurizes the
tank slightly. With the tank being full the fuel gets to sloshing and when
it contacts the vent port, it unloads. I had that happen on a Aircoupe while

I'd like at least to know whether it was single seater
or two seater and other general info contained
in the brochure.

Scott,
If you read the little blurb above the picture, it says it's a
two seater, expected cruise is 115 knots. Empty weight it 570 pounds,
full load is 1000 pounds. Power is 2100cc VW with a variable pitch 3
blade prop. You might try writing RR and see if you get any
response.

just in front of the windscreen (not the cap) and is bent 90 degrees to the
rear and it seems to do just fine. It doesn't suck the fuel out.

That really should point toward the front in addition to venting it is also
a way to put pressure into the tank to help move the fuel better. By
pointing aft it is taking pressure out of the tank when you fly. Only takes
one time for it to be an issue.

Scott,
It was a two seater.

Scuse me, I went out and looked at the vent and it "IS" pointed forward.
I don't know where I got the Idea it was pointed backward.
I better look before I leap next time.

Yes Jon, you do have Ron's KR project. I had talked with Ron shortly after I
got the project about widening to boat. --not a task that I wanted to
undertake and sold it to you.

Don Reed,
Are you going to be at the Virginia show this year?? I tried to make it last
year but got weathered out before crodding the bay/brigdge tunnel and turned
back. I was going to try again this year just for the day on Saturday and was
hoping to meet you.

Hi All,
Due to change of circumstances beyond my control I am selling my KR2S
project.
Spars done, Spruce fuselage built and ply covered. Many small parts (inc.
WAFs, gear brackets, some gauges etc) no engine or gear.
It is located near Tullamarine (YMML), Vic, Australia.
