Could it be he was just trying to make a joke. I have a friend that is a
captain at DFW airport fire dept and they believe a lot of the rules are stupid

Dan,
Call the Emergency Medical Services office and ask for the Director. You
haven't heard from the police because you didn't break a law. An EMT has
absolutely no authority to confiscate anything - they can remove stuff if it

Dan,
I'd contact the EMS folks who confiscated it, and ask them to have your
survival equipment returned or replaced immediately and by not doing so
could potentially be endangering your life in the future.
See how they react to that one.
Cheers.

How would they feel in this regard.

I just collected for the last hat and shirt sale and have sent the
closing financial report to Bob Lee for posting on the Gathering web

donations made, we were able to increase our Gathering fund by approx

I plan to have a survival knife aid a few other items in my airplane. Maybe it
should be labeles survivak kit because if I'm searched on an airport it may
cause some problems. Like you said, this country is going plain stupid.

I'm pretty sure that an EMT has no legal authority to "confiscate" anything.
It's called "theft" and a phone call to

Netters,
Since it is Friday I thought I would send out a little inquiry. We are
considering the production of complete interior sets for the KR similar to
what I had in my KR N902G. For those who were at the 04/05 Gatherings will
know how nice it was, or if you have seen any photos. It is
This is one of the best reports I have seen in a long time. I'll bet there
are numerous KR's out there like this that we never hear about. It is
certainly a testament to what a great little plane the KR is. Anybody else
out there lurking we could hear from?

My KR2 has 1393.8 hours logged, probably another 10 unlogged. First flight 28
September '84. Guess that it puts it in the just over the quarter century
flying club. Based in John Day, Oregon, most of my flying is in eastern-central
Oregon with many to Prosser/Yakema/Mt. Vernon,Wa (years ago)
Hi guys and girls;
My eye surgery went perfect and took less than an hour, oh I'm so glad that's
all over with.
Hey, a word of warning. Watch what you carry with you while you are flying! If
your not already aware.
As they were cutting my clothes off of me on the runway, one of the EMT's was
