To all of you who have used "micro" consisting of epoxy and glass balloons for smoothing and filling the wing surfaces, a question: What ratio are you using when you mix up the micro so it will apply evenly and smoothly? Are you mixing a "Slurry" of about a 1:1 ratio of glass bubbles to epoxy,

Eric If you suggest that it will take more strenght than one might have to comfortably pull the lever to deploy the brake, it is unlikely. I remember a question on the final exam in college (more than 50 years ago); "What is the relative weight of a 3800 lb automobile traveling at 55MPH?" As I r

Neal I have never used a ratio for mixing micro. Just keep adding micro until you have a very thick, almost like peanut butter consistency. The mixing stick should be able to stand up in it. A slury will run unless its a flat surface. Even with the peanut butter consistency it will run on a

Neal, NOT a slurry., that would be too resin wet, adding unnecessary weight and it will be difficult to sand. A creamy peanut butter consistency works best for me. I use 4" wide by three" squeegees made from scrap vinyl siding...for spreading. Pat Russo > What ratio are you using when you mix
