KRnetHeads,
Nobody else has volunteered to host the 2016 Gathering other than Larry
Flesner and Chris Collins with MVN, so Mount Vernon, IL (KMVN) is where
the 2016 KR Gathering will be held. At least one volunteer is planning
to host the Gathering in 2017, and another for 2018, at this point.
I had one built into a Westach quad gauge and really liked it. I used
one of their automotive 2" gauges while they were custom building the
quad for me. I think I still have it somewhere. They will also build
you one in a 2 1/4 aircraft gauge if you ask.

Probably would be real efficient at 25,000'. Not exactly practical for
a KR, but certainly has a lot of cool factor.

I am using the same one. I find that I cannot see the LED's in flight due to
the sun.

Craig,
I am using a 2-1/8 inch round AFR gauge that has both a LED bar wrapped
around the edge with a digital number in the center. The LEDs dance around
a bit as do the numbers even with a constant RPM and throttle setting. Wish
there was more damping, but both displays are useful for setting
cool project but the performance specs dont seem very efficient. high gas
consumption, long takeoff roll fast pattern speeds, and a gas hog! plane seems
a bit heavy too.
full disclosure, I am a pilot but not a builder (yet). its an impressive
project from experimentation standpoint with a str
Craig;
My personal experience is that some gauges or indicators like trim position,
fuel level or flap position or the one you name are more comfortable to be read
using led-bars...on the other hand RMP gauge I would prefer it with numbers...

Here is a link to the engine, pretty interesting.

Here is the story re a turbo kr2 from the 1997 January KITPLANES.
