Is the gross weight the same for the KR2s as for the KR2? The KR2 plans show
900 lbs. I suspect it would be more for the KR2s, but haven't found it. I did
use the search engine and find the answer to how to do fuel flow on an engine
driven fuel pump and some information on the climb angle.
Yesterday was a good day. I have been worried about getting the cg in the
forward half of the range as I am using a Jabiru 85 hp and had to extend the
engine mount based on the wt and balance we did without the engine. I double
checked my figures, but there was that nagging feeling about did
Curious if anyone has considered going with taller, narrower tires and wheels
as a way to gain more prop clearance while keeping the frontal area about the
same. I don't know of any in particular that are available, but thought maybe
someone has researched it.

I want to sincerely thank all who have contributed the the web site. I am
getting close to being ready to fly (probably this summer) and the information
gleaned by doing searchs has been extremely helpful. Thank you.
I have been flying my VP-1 for years with the cg at the rearward limit and
A friend of mine is working on a Corvair modification for a Zenith plane. He
has had the machining done to accept VW cylinders, has the 5th bearing etc..
He gave me the inside dia. of the VW cylinders as 3 11/16 in. The stroke is
based on the standard Corvair Crank. He understands that to
What are your thoughts on the need to have an engine mount of 4130 that has

A friend of mine who is 84 or so and flew recon P-38's in WWII was over looking
at my project the other day and we got to talking about the landing gear.
(taildragger). I mentioned that I had thought about replacing the composite
gear with a taller aluminum gear, but since the wing is built,
We used a twin bed air mattress and some blocking under the mattress so the
wing was on the mattress. Worked well with one helper to shift wing around and
push to get holes lined up.

Barry,
Thanks for the weight and balance information. This will be very helpful. I
keep coming up with quite a bit longer mount for the KR2s. That may be because
of the extra length fuselage. From reading through the forum on a search of
cg, I am led to believe that the real cg range is
HI,

Regretfully Rick passed away this last summer. I have taken over the project.
The wing tanks were made from irrigation tubing squeezed somehow into a D shape
and are mounted behind the front spar. I wish I could have seen them before
they were built in. At this time I still haven't found
Hi,
Is there an accepted or common practice for putting screws into the fiberglass.
I need to have several access panels to get to the aileron and flap links on
the bottom of the wing. Have thought of things like drill a 1/4 inch or so
hole through the fiberglass and into the foam.
