Reading back through years of kr history, I think there are more things to consider than just collapse due to unlocking. The original design has a fixed travel, a heavy landing can completely compress the spring mechanism which then causes abrupt failure of the mount. The deihl and grove

Hi Dave, Try Googling 'vw warp drive failure' There have been numerous prop shaft failures. Basically as I understand it any difference in the lift of each of the blades can cause horrendous vibration and a vw crank cannot take it - not sure if this applies to revmasters. Wooden props are the

Andy, I don't recognize your experience, a kr with a reasonable cg is a pussycat. A kr with 350lb of man meat and low tanks may well be a real handful. I suggest you check out the cg, in uk we cannot legally fly a standard kr2 two up because of concerns about the behaviour with rearward cg.
