My transponder requires "gray code" input for altitude reporting.  I
installed an Encoder Serial-to-Gray Code Converter Module in order to use
the Dynon EFIS D-10A as the altitude encoder.  My estimate is about 30 hours
total operating time on this Convertor Module and it has failed.  Dynon
still makes this Module ($80).  This does seem to be a low mean time before
failure.  Does anyone have any operating experience with this Dynon Module?
