You will need to extend your wings to increase lift. It will make

I had an 1835 VW on my 620 pound KR2 and cruised about 125MPH. However, it did
not climb above 7500 feet.

powered by a vw1600, what do you suggest me?? 1600 is

At that altitude, I would not consider a non-turbo engine for the
KR2. My turbo Revmaster will develop full power up to about 8500 feet.
