I had used 2 x 4 s for the cross members of the table. Mark Langford stated in 199? on his web site to use 2 x6 s for the table and put a good edge on one side for a flush fit with the table top. I ended up chasing dips in my table the entire time I used it. Although I put mine together wit

I figured I was over reacting, I would hope that 5/8 spruce would not be so rigid once epoxied together. you know, if I rolled a golf ball down the table, would the dimples...aw, never mind just another stupid question.

Troy, Your not going to go wrong if you keep the table flat and smooth. But you will proably want to recheck it every once in awhile as you will use the tables longer than you think. I had made my table out of 6" x 16ga steel stud and 3/4" particle board. But i didn't have to buy the stud
