I am using a 3 inch extension for my 0200. I don't know how you would put a cowling on it otherwise. - Original Message - From: "Randy Smith" To: "KRnet" Sent: Wednesday, August 09, 2006 6:16 PM Subject: RE: KR> engine start > I put an 0-200 on my KR-2

I have an 1835 VW engine that I will be starting soon. My question: Is it okay to start the engine and run it a minute or two or two, without damage? ( It would be convenient not to have the prop in the way) Thanks for your replys.

Thanks for all your concerns. My geared RG 2000 engine has a flywheel and gear reduction. I do not remember saying anything about over revving or flogging my engine, I did say I started it up. Vw Engines also ran it last week without a prop, just check they fixed all the oil leaks. Phil Mathes
