Mark and others. Thanks for drawing attention to the danger of carb float bowl air pressure.I have twin Stromberg (Zenith) carbs, with the float bowls each vented to the air intake, before the butterfly valves in the the carbs.Carb heat is collected with scoops on the left and right exhausts near the manifolds and ahead of the in line air filter. I think any excess pressure will be relieved at the filter. If anything the system may introduce a slight vacuum in the float bowls.Does this sound OK ?.The engine runs well and the carb heat, does not seem to adversely effect the engine, even although there is probably a slight ram air effect from the scoops facing the air flow when the carb heat is applied.Does this sound OK netters.? Best Regards, Eric, S.Africa
