what are the pros and cons of hanging the rutted pedals vs mounting
them to the floor?

Having them hanging from behind the fuel tank I can tell you that I
would have them mounted to the floor if it were me, just for easie
I chose to mount mine to the bottom of a reinforced shelf. This location
was selected over the floor mounting because I could not work the geometry
for the brake pedals and wheel cylinders. I believe that it can be done
both ways, but while you are in the selection process, consider the brake
