We're homebuilding by hand an airplane that is so easily tweaked it's
laughable, and using crappy plans that leave a lot to the imagination,
so of course you can use Diehl skins. There is a slight performance

Hard to imagine your wings haven't yet sold. Not only are they more precisely
built than most homebuilt ones, they are extremely durable as well. Mine are
35 years old and haven't a ripple or bubble on them. Diehl's design (thinner,
smoother and with the little upturned tips that help to dis

I don't know about weight savings - probably insignificant in the long
run. I can say this about them though, after almost 25 years

I just got off the phone to Garry Morgan, regarding your email on wing skin
price.
Garry said he sells wing skins to KR people for $5000. (RRP $7,500)
I'm confused and think you are saying he uses the new wing section??
Garry DOES not use the new wing section on his planes.

The original statement was about the weight of the premolded wing skins only.
My question now is--are you guys all talking about your total each wing weight,
including spars, ailerons, counter balance and all ? ( a finished wing) or are
you talking about the skins as you would receive them from
paint.

That's correct. I thought you were asking for a comparison
between the 2 systems. If that is how much the skins weigh I'm glad I

Hi all,
Today I fitted both top wing skins. I have wing tanks, and now keeping my
fingers crossed that the tanks are sealed. ( looking good) As per Dan Diehl
instructions.
I have removed the old H/S stabiliser and made a new one with 12 inches more
span and 1 inch more cord, and it weighs the
