I've got k8s + heapster + influxdb + grafana, and it's working fine for standard monitoring of things about kubernetes. I was wondering what would be the best way to publish business relevant events / metrics so that they make their way to influx and are visible in grafana. I imagine I could write to influx from the application, but would much prefer a more built in / sidecar approach.
