When starting adept, a message box with the following error appears:
Could not find mime type
application/octet-stream
However, after clicking OK,

The network configuration in kcontrol does not work as expected. my
wireless connection is down. all i have to do to bring it up is to make

I have the problem too (installed with Flight 6). It appears it doesn't like
the -icon and -miniicon arguments it is given by default.

same problem with install to hard disk from DVD kubuntu 6.06
first : Uncompressing Linux ... Ok, booting the kernel.
then : ALERT! /dev/ram does not exist. Dropping to a shell!
md5 is OK and starting live from this DVD is OK

Can you start System Settings - Printers and check in lower right corner of
the dialog (just above Administrator Mode button) what the Server: is set
to. It should read localhost:631.
If you get /var/run/cups/cups.sock or similar, you should use workaround
There probably shouldn't be an apply button for this applet. The changes are
committed immediately when you toggle start at boot. If you start kcontrol
from the console, you can see the output for this.

gtk2-engines-gtk-qt causes GNOME-panel to crash upon startup and causes Gnome
to look ugly
Ok, this is a duplicate of http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117730
The problem is that our DVD drives are not region set, which causes libdvdcss
to crap out... Using the regionset package to set my DVD player to region 1
fixed this problem.
