Hi Rocco - it didn't when I tried today : though the whole desktop
I too want to confirm, that this is a way to gain root privileges without
entering a single correct password.
Reproduce: System Settings -> Network Settings -> Administrator Mode -> Enter
anything as password -> accepted.
After that kdesu accepts anything as password so the user has full access
kdeadmin only recomends lilo-config, therefore it should not pull the package
by default.
Anyway, should we remove this Recommends also, as it does not make much sense
on Ubuntu anyhow?

I have a similar problem at boot. Although I can reconfigure manually the
network with ifconfig and route, it is not totally correct since I get network
errors in some personal applications. I need to run

In my opinion "apply" should be used here instead of an immediate effect -
that's the way KDE configuration used to work. The immediate effect can have a
few unexpected bad consequences, when the user expects to be able to "test out"
a few settings.

OK. This took me a while to figure out.
Did some experimenting and searching around the web.
This finally solved this bug for me in dapper:
sudo apt-build --reinstall --force-yes install libtunepimp2c2a
Hope this helps anybody else with broken MP3 support in Amarok...

I can also confirm this bug. I believe it is directly related to either the
Nvidia driver or twinview. I have both configured and have the same problem. On
a fresh install the display module loads fine.
I hope this is fixed soon as this I am using the newly released beta 1

the bootsplash "bug" is not a real bug, when you add kubuntu to your ubuntu
