I still have to upgrade in Debian to the latest k/qsynaptics (0.3.1).
The problem (which is also a solution) is that there is now a wrapper library

I've had the same Problem with the marvell yukon (skge on eth0).
Had exactly the same error when i used kcontrol to configure the network
device. The only thing i could add was a default gateway.
But after looking at /etc/network/interfaces i saw that kcontrol added the
default gw entry
I was able to reproduce the problem and I will look for proper fix.

I think the problem is that when Show All is selected, that knetworkconf module
still stays running (and does not go down as other modules).

If your X server driver does not set DPI properly, this is due to the fact that
it cannot autodetect your display size.

This is exactly the problem that I'm having as well. Amarok will work
fine on all other audio types but won't play streaming radio stations.

I've taken a look to your menu.lst file.
Give this a try: I think you need only one instance of the command splashimage.
I assume that your (hd0,4) IS your /boot partition. So you shouldn't have to
repeat that in the path you specify. Try:
splashimage=(hd0,4)/grub/splashimages/KUBUNTU_splashscr

just tested this on dapper and there it is even worse, just error messages and
finally a crash dialog.. (since this is fairly easily reproduceable, I didn't
include the error messages here.)
