When kget is downloading files with it's status (main) window open (not
minimised), then my Xorg usage jumps to 98%. It goes back to normal if I
minimise the kget window, or stop the downloads. This happens whether
"use animation" is selected or not.

Unloading the rfcomm Module also does not change the situtation here.
Having a closer look to the dmesg output I discovered, that the backtrace is
different here to the bug message:

I'm not sure if this really is duplicate bug.
I got the same problem using kpilot, at least the same "Call Trace" appears.
My System is also a Thinkpad t41p Type 2373, the palm device a Tungesten E, the
system the leading edge dapper.

This is in latest Dapper.
The package normalize-audio (0.7.6-7) in Universe provides the binary
/usr/bin/normalize-audio but k3b (0.12.14-0ubuntu5) only accepts a
binary named "normalize". k3b should be changed to look for the
correctly named binary.
Allthough I see updated language packages when I upgrade, this bug isn't
yet resolved. I still see english words instead of Dutch, like Bookmarks
instead of Bladwijzers.
Hopefully this will be resolved asap.

Yes, my system hangs after the "visor-crash" when it goes to halting at
the moment, when bluetooth is removed. So I got the idea to delete
rfcomm from main memory and after that I can synchronize my Sony Clie
without any problem.

IMHO, the file
/usr/lib/kde3/libkontact_knodeplugin.so (Kontact plugin for KNode) should be in
KNode package, Same for libkontact_akregator.so and so on.
So when kontact is installed without knode (or an other Recommends), it
won't show options which don't work.

The issue is that accentuated characters are not displayed correctly ("?"
instead of "é").

Just reconfirmed this with linux-image-2.6.15-22-686, right after
running a dist-upgrade.
The system totally freezes as kdm is starting. This time, the screen

same happens for me with a HP Laserjet 5L that has so far worked in
every single distribution I was using (including Breezy).

I have a total of 30 unread messages on my two imap accounts, but the kmail
systray icon displays 10 unread messages !!!
Also I had 100 unread message in a sub folder in one of my imap acc
We're going to need some sort of trace or crash message in order to
debug this.
I'm not sure how to can get X to start while staying in the console to
see any kernel messages. Have you checked /var/log/kern.log to see if
anything is captured there?

I'm having a similar problem on my system. Until recently I could force
it to work by using 'acpi=off noapic nolapic', but now it will only boot
if I unplug all my usb devices, then plug them back in once the kernel
has finished booting. Otherwise it will lock up on the 'io scheduler cfq
registered
You can close this bug. Everything works OK on Dapper. Thank you very

Since KDE is string freeze, I don't think the dialog upstream will
change in the KDE 3.5 series. Any ideas about how the buttons should be
relabeled? "Ignore" and "Retry" maybe? And is that all, or should the
text of the message change as well?

runlevel 3with a text console, and I could start X explicitly after I had
