Perhaps not. but I'm not sure why those were dropped anyway. I
remember that I added them for a reason.
Can the original poster please paste their /etc/apt/sources.list? There
was no kde 3.5.6 upgrade for dapper, so that shouldnt have been the
problem.

I can confirm this behavior on KDE 3.5.6. I'm not sure if this is a bug
or a feature though.

I've always had to select the printer model myself when setting up a
printer. I'm confirming this as a wishlist.

Linked upstream bug. Looks like they are hesitant to change to
/bin/bash as it will break on BSD, so instead the script should be fixed
to run on dash. But this fix works for ubuntu.

The applet you are referring to is available as the styleclock package,
which you probably installed. I can confirm the messed up description
for this applet in Feisty.
