Using no locking or FCNTL, it simply hangs saying that it is executing the

hand, but in that case k3b completely hangs and should be killed (HP
Pavilion zv5340us, AMD64). AFAIK, a sequence of unmount-mount should be
enough to ensure all caches are reset, shouldn't it? Unmounting doesn't
suppose ejecting.

your customization of design and the kicker mini-applets wont start
anymore until you add them again.
But this is only a hack and the origin should be solved. I've read in
package description that the change from .kde to $HOME
