After updating to Gutsy Beta opening Amarok resulted in a log out. I am
completely stumped as to why this is the case. Logout also occurs when

Upon the 4+ restore, the battery icon disappears from guidance. Once
this happens the KDE will no longer suspend/hibernate when the lid is
closed. Restarting guidance-power-manager usually fixes the problem.

I have an issue with sound on the new kubuntu gutsy. I've installed the tribe 3
and all is working. When I updated to tribe 5, and now beta1, the sound module
is not working anymore.
I looked at tribe 3 and the module loades was snd_hda_intel.
When I try the modprobe this,
I installed the latest Gutsy image from http://cdimages.ubuntu.com
/daily-live and performed all updates. Check your Power Management
Preferences and verify you don't have anything screwy. What video card
are you using?

Even in Kmail, the KAddressbook fails, I tried in all the others that
are link to it and they all fail. I do know that when creating an
address book contact the *.vcf file has to be in the profile otherwise
you'll get the same error. I wanted to make a new contact group when
this error occurred. If

I have tried the -rt kernel and the problem is still there (just chose a
different kernel at random). However guidance-p-m doesn't hang with this
kernel, it won't show any "brightness levels" on the sliders unless HAL
is restarted.

the machine with the sound card, since it's headless and it runs a

This bug is really odd. I have a SBLive! on another machine which uses
PulseAudio to turn the machine into an audio server.
This machine of course is capable of 4-channel multichannel audio. But,
being the cheap bastard that I am, the machine only has one stereo
system conn
