This happens to me too. 8.04 Hardy Ubuntu. Amarok 1.4.9, I cannot get
Amarok to recognize or manage my iPod, even when explicitly setting the
mount point.
It also appears that Gnome is ignoring the System
I am using Hardy with daily updates but this bug has been around at
least since kubuntu 7.04

Since there is no desktop independent way to declare suspend as no go, this
