almost every time I close it. I doubt there is any data loss, since the
drive cannot be unmounted while in use unless you use sudo to start

You could try backing up ~/.kde4/plasma-appletsrc, removing it, and
restarting KDE. This should give you clean default plasma settings and
determine if a bug in an older version of plasma messed up the config
file.

the correct package for this bug. ;-)

on Kubuntu 8.04 KDE 4 Hardy Beta, Ark commands like "Extract here",
"Extract at..." that were always present on Kubuntu using Konqueror and
Dolphin's right click, dont exist.
