Binary package hint: amarok
Whenever I try to update my music collection (24 gigs from an external
USB HD) Amarok 2 gets to 78% then either closes or freezes the entire
system. I get no error message and can't seem to be able to even
produce a backtrace. I am running

I was transferring some pictures from my camera to the Pictures folder
when it happened. I don't know why, other than I installed a lot of
plasmoids shortly before. They were mostly technical plasmoids about
temp and disk use and lan, and the such. I am sorry to not have better
info. By the
I renamed the .KDE directory and rebooted the computer. Instant cure. Further
investigation reveals that my problem was corrupt data in the Directory
.kde/share/config
Can supply the corrupt data if needed. Will not use marble as I blame it for
causing the crash.
