has disappeared. I have had the reinstalled version for about 5 days
now with no problems regarding plasma. Noting that my system had been
spewing out "syntax errors" before and does not anymore, I might venture

my bug might also involve: I was using amd64 Intrepid; then I
reinstalled with x86 Jaunty, but using the same old home directory. So
there might be some bugs with 32 vs. 64 bits being stored... I haven't
tried wiping my KMail / KDE settings to see if the problems persist...

1. After some experiments, I figured out that this only happens when the screen
resolution is changed to something smaller than 800x600.
2. I installed the release version of Ubuntu 9.04 recently (was running the
beta before) and here the problems seems to be fixed.
