I run Kontact as my primary do-everything PIM. I have come to depend on
Kontact wrapping Kmail and Korganizer seamlessly (aside from adding new
calendar entries from a ics file directly from the web).
I use Remote Calendar Files as well as
Rebuilding the plugin does work (though it crashes when you attempt to
exit). If you are having the problem yourself, you can try the package
in my PPA.

translated to other languages than English (I supuse it uses KDE
translation system), while Arora is just in English.

The problem is only with logout.
