Will they be backporting the fix to 9.04? I have other issues that
prevent me from upgrading to 9.10 on my laptop. The only time I use
sudo is if I'm working with a file in a restricted folder (/etc or
somewhere like that). If I'm not supposed to do this, then please

On reboot even with the Static profile, Auto eth0 with DHCP was the
profile that loaded.. I expected the Static profile to load for 2
reasons.. it was the last profile loaded on reboot and it was marked
'Auto'.
Unfortunately "Auto eth0" is not listed in the profiles to disable auto
load..

Your problem appears to be with the karmic-backports repo, so I am
assigning this bug against the karmic-backports project rather than the
main Ubuntu project. From just glancing at this bug, it looks like 4.3.5
is just half-built to me, and that this should resolve itself once the
rest of 4.3.5 ge

In Ubuntu 9.10 x86 knetworkmanager displays interface wmx0 grouped with
eth0, i.e. it thinks it is a wired connection, but wmx0 is WiMax NIC. It
should be displayed as Wireless type.
