Yes, I already considered to report it directly to bugs.kde, but

I seem to have this problem as well. After a few days, my installation of
Kubuntu 9.10 become extremely slow, the kickoff launcher is missing all entries
and compositing is disabled due to slow response. I just checked system monitor
and found that system memory is fully utilized and the
