qtchooser reads the path to resolve a binary from default.conf which
always points to the architecture qtchooser was built for. e.g.
/x86_64-linuxwhateverblahblah/ on amd64
this in particular means that if one is on amd64 a
Don't use the beta images anymore. Use the final ones. Do the install
with those, then update to the proposed packages. If that doesn't solve
it, you have a different bug. Also, this is still fix committed, since
the new package hasn't been released to -updates yet.

I also had the same problem as Olof Staffan when updating to kubuntu
13.10. I can also confirm that his solution (of installing qdbus, which
removes qdbus:i386) works.

Same here after upgrading to Kubuntu 13.04 on all of my Kubuntu PC's
(all with 64 bit).
Note, if the CPU is slower, the Desktop crashes more often.
Writing these tree lines, the Desktop crashes on my PC wit Intel Core 2
L7400 1,5 GHz six times !!!
