I am having the same problem. The updates are installed fine, as far as I can tell, but it hangs saying "Loading Software List" after the update is applied. If I try and log off, I get a message "Logout cancelled by /usr/bin/muon-updater" in the systray. Running "sudo shutdown now" from a terminal
