I tend to agree, I don't think it's a bug of KDE.
Anyway, for me it doens't work well with the "Browse" tool.
I am not sure, but I think it works only if one selects exactly the
middle of a line containing only text, and no formulas (which is quite
inconvenient).

The reason I believe #5 could solve it, is that this patch may be the
only essential difference between our configurations.

Hi, just to note: this is not just Saucy, not just Unity. I am running
12.04.3 with the backport of kernel 3.11 from Saucy, and I am using KDE.
I *still* get the same issue and the same fix from Matteo works for me!
