@ Scarlett
Did Yofel/Philip have some spare time to look into that yet?
I also think the kubuntu-team can probably ask for some assistance @ IRC
ubuntu-installer. They are familiar with the code behind and look human-
friendly to me, as well as higly competent.
If they can't help, pls assign

The versions are correct.
I doubt that the update of x11vnc would change anything with regard to the
interoperability issue.
As a workaround for that, I resorted to use:
ExecStart=/bin/sh -c '/usr/bin/x11vnc -auth /var/run/sddm/* -display :0
-rfbauth /etc/vncpasswd -rfbport 5943 -reopen
Added versions of packages to bug-description. Could you check if those
apply?
There is also an update-package request for X11-vnc -> bug #1516286 .
Looks like this won't happen for Xenial.

hi!
I'm not aware if the second problem you are describing is a missing
feature in SDDM.
To my opion it would be best to report this directly within the upstream
project:
https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues
Just found an older bug-report [1] that may be related or not.

@ Alex10336: Can you provide output ? of:
dpkg-query --list *flash-*
I do think this is exspected if U don't have adobe-flash-properties-kde
installed. Does the referenced gtk-version work in KDE-environment?

** Description changed:
I originally installed Ubuntu MATE 14.10 which I then updated to 15.04.
At some point I decided to try KDE Plasma 5, so I installed the kubuntu-
desktop package.
I got the prompt asking me whether I wish to run lightdm or sddm and I
chose lightdm. However
This bug has been reported upstream, right now:
https://github.com/sddm/sddm/issues/620 (SDDM and LightDM can run in
paralell (thus create conflict).
