Switched to using "Generic project manager" and now the source files are
being parsed.
Earlier I was using "CMake project manager" successfully for several
months, but the Clang parsing happened to go berserk just today.

Has been happening to me on several occasions. Caught logs just now.
SDDM seems fine at first for 3-4 seconds, but then the blinking cursor
from the password entry box disappears. Only mouse cursor moving in SDDM
greeter screen, but no interaction with any UI elements.

Settigns- > Configure Shortcuts -> Align
Trying to set Tab key to enable Emacs-style indentation does not work,
the key press is not even registered. This setting is even proposed in
Configure Kate -> Indentation settings. Using combinations like
Meta+Tab or Ctrl+Tab do work
