Running Amarok 1.4.5 with kde 3.5.6 (Kubuntu Feisty)
After adding the podcast, trying to play ep#25
1) if I try to play it by streaming then Amarok crashes (buffering messages
goes from 1% to 100%)
2) if downloaded ep#25 then play it , Amarok played it fine.

RFE: knetworkmanager should recover when NetworkManager restarts
I am using Gutsy and don't see this problem; I use ethernet and wireless.
Can you try the following
1) does KNetworkManager(KNM) disconnect from network frequently?
2) when KNM says disconnected, can you use firefox or ping (just do
'ping www.google.com.com' on a console and see if you can ping

I am running Gutsy with KNetworkManager v0.2 and KDE v3.5.7
I don't see the problem. Both during login time and after a resume, the icon
looks good. May be you can try with Gutsy?
