After upgrading jaunty to karmic (I'm running Ubuntu not Kubuntu), I
find that Kaffeine loses its icon and displays as a [?] icon in the
Applications menu. I'm using the new wave theme but it seems the same
with human and human-clearlooks.
Give
Test package works for me.

When I try to select xv as the video driver in Kaffeine, I get the error
"Error: Can't init new Video Driver xv - using auto!", there is a
details button but it does nothing.
This was working yesterday on the same hardware. Without xv support,

If my DVB connection glitches (I'm in a poor signal area) then the sound
drops out in Kaffeine and it doesn't come back. I'd expect sound to
return as soon as the signal returns. Video typically does just that.
