Wow, I had forgotten I filed this. But no, I have been running 9.04 and have
not seen this issue anymore. I was still running an 8.XX when I filed it but
had to revert to windows for awhile...I just managed to get Kubuntu back on
my machines recently and it seems to be running very well.

We were wondering if this was still an issue in either Kubuntu 8.10 or 9.04.
(In 9.04 Qt's font rendering got some big improvements)
